The English Valley Bed & Breakfast is
nestled in the English River Valley just
north of Montezuma, Iowa. Enjoy a
getaway weekend, a big red barn party,
pheasant hunting, bonfires, fishing,
picnicking or just relaxing on the screened
in porch. This 1920's house has had two
major renovations in the last 20 years. The
Inn is fantastic country setting to escape
the fast pace of the city. You will love the
fantastic accommodations especially
Stacy's scrumptious country breakfasts.
Evening meals are also available upon
request.

Poweshiek county has one of the best pheasant populations in the
entire state of Iowa. Click on Pheasant Hunting see why hunters
return year after year to hunt in central Iowa.
If you have a big group, such as a class reunion, a family reunion,
sales meeting, a special birthday party, anniversary, a church
retreat, stamping/scrapbook event, or wedding/wedding reception,
we have the place for you. Click on the Big Red Barn and see a
great meeting place and then stay a night or two and relax in rural
Iowa.
We both come from a long line of farmers. We also farm over 3000
acres with my father, Frank Helm. If you would like to see how
modern agriculture plants or harvests a crop, come stay with us in
the spring or fall. You will see some large John Deere tractors plant
the crop or work the ground. Or see a John Deere 9760 STS
combine enormous amounts of grain. Or checkout the Oliver 770 to
see an antique tractor.
We have large rooms that can all accommodate at least four people
per room. A full complimentary country breakfast for all guests.
Free high speed Internet, air conditioning, a playhouse for the
children, a five acre pond for fishing are all available. We have
horses available for trail riding. We do hay rake rides. We have a
